§ I

A research desk, not a founder.

Marc Lou posts his monthly income reports. Pieter Levels posts live MRR. Tony Dinh charts his journey from $0 to $1M ARR in public. Hundreds of bootstrapped founders share what they’re actually doing. Nobody reads them all and tells you the patterns. That’s the job here. Public data, systematic reading, weekly synthesis. No personal MRR claims, no “here’s how I built my SaaS.” A research function that didn’t exist for indie SaaS until now.

§ II

Examples of what arrives in your inbox.

  1. 01

    Pricing patterns

"73 of 150 founders who crossed $5K MRR raised prices at least once in the prior 90 days." Synthesized from public income reports and pricing change threads.

  2. 02

Churn fixes that move the needle

What founders at <$10K MRR shipped to fix retention. Actual changes, attributed to founders who shared them publicly. Not theory.

  3. 03

    Launch sequence patterns

The first 7 days of revenue across 80 indie launches. What public income reports reveal about which launch tactics produce ongoing revenue versus a one-week spike.

  4. 04

    The free tier question, settled

What the data says about free tiers in bootstrapped SaaS. Across 200+ public reports, the patterns are clearer than the conventional wisdom.

§ III

How the synthesis works.

Source material is public. Income reports posted on X. MRR milestone threads. Pricing change announcements. Launch retrospectives. All of it is what founders chose to share with the world.

Every claim cites a source. If a piece says “73 of 150 founders raised prices in the 90 days before crossing $5K MRR,” the appendix lists which 150 reports those were. No claim is unverifiable.

No personal experience is involved. The job here is reading at scale and seeing what individual founders can’t see from inside one story.
